Allow your own natural ability to heal
Claire Amos RGN DC CST BWY
I have been working as a health care professional for over 30 years. I started my career as a registered nurse specializing in care for the elderly. It was during this time that I came to question and realize that in many cases we were simply treating the symptoms rather than understanding and treating the root causes.
I became more and more interested in the potential of using natural therapies to encourage the body’s inherent ability to heal. The more research I did, the more inspired I was to help people with this approach.
I had been a regular visitor to a chiropractor during my teenage years, and it was this along with my experience as a nurse, which really inspired me to learn more about the philosophy, art and practice of being a chiropractor.
After qualifying at the McTimoney chiropractic college, I started my exciting career as a registered chiropractor, also running a successful complementary health centre in Crowborough for 7 years. This led me to further my knowledge and extended my studies to qualified in Thai massage, teaching yoga and more recently Cranio Sacral Therapy. Over the years I have continually updated and diversified my study within chiropractic, and a whole range of subjects including functional anatomy, naturopathy, fasting, herbal medicine, and ayurvedic approaches. These learnings have been gained through courses, research and my own personal experience of life!
My aim is to help you gain and maintain a healthy body and outlook with prevention being the key factor.
I am proud to be part of a holistic approach, providing a health care model of ‘Wellness and prevention” and the importance of strengthening our connection with nature.
I am a mum to 2 grown-up boys. I love being outside in nature, cycling, dancing, swimming and gardening.
