My introduction to fasting came to me when I took part in a 10-day water fast 15 years ago.  This was my initial inspiration for using fasting as a healing and healthy activity. My subsequent learning about fasting has come through my own experience which includes  10 years of routine seasonal fasts. Moreover, in the last 7 years, I have held retreats to support people through their own fasting.

My personal and professional realization is that fasting encourages the body to heal and repair itself!

I have created a retreat Centre which opened in 2021 where I hold these fasting holidays.

My fasting retreats will offer:

  • Small groups so individual needs can be honoured.
  • Comfortable outdoor living in our field and forest garden with dwelling in yurts and other low-impact structures. 
  • Water fasts last between 3-5 days as this period of time is necessary for the body to enter a different metabolic state (i.e. ketosis).
  • A biophilic approach; recognizing that being part of a healthy natural environment is one of the best portals to our own nature and healing. 
  •  I use a simple natural approach with an emphasis on nurture, where, yoga,  sauna, and bodywork treatments are part of the daily routine.  There are plenty of opportunities to rest and restore.
  •  You will be well supported and nurtured during this transformative time.

Water-Only Fasting at our Be-ing Retreat

Our retreats are in Mid-Devon on a 3-acre plot of open field and woodland leading down to a river. Most of the retreats are 5 days, however, we occasionally have a 3 day retreat.

Your care will be individualised within a small group with a maximum of 5 people.

Daily Schedule includes:

  • Movement, breath work, reflection and meditation
  • Daily body work therapy (either Massage, Cranio Sacral Therapy, or Chiropractic Care)
  • Sauna
  • Plenty of nurturing time
  • Art facilities

Activities are centred around a large communal yurt.

Your individual accommodation will be in a yurt or a campervan. Both are very comfortable.

N.B.: We ensure you have eaten before you leave.

PRIOR TO COMMITMENT/SECURING YOUR PLACE

You will need to complete a health/wellbeing questionnaire. Once this is completed, we will arrange a one-to-one video call with you to establish how we can best meet your needs. During the call we can answer any questions you have regarding the retreat.

5 DAY RETREATS - £925.00

To secure a place a non-refundable deposit of £462.50 is payable

3 DAY RETREATS - £585.00

To secure a place a non-refundable deposit of £292.50 is payable.

Home Fasting

Alternatively, if the retreat is not for you, I offer an individualised basic online support package, which includes an initial zoom call and daily support during your fasting experience.

Prices start from £125.00 for a 3 day fast. For longer fasts price will be discussed during Zoom call.

If you have any health concerns regarding water-only fasting, please contact me to make a telephone or video call appointment. The cost of this appointment is £65.00 for up to half an hour.

  • Fasting

    There’s hidden sweetness in the stomach’s emptiness.
