Trauma Release Exercises
Trauma and Tension Release Exercises or TRE®, is a body-based practice for people suffering from stress, anxiety, trauma, or PTSD. Based solely on working with the body, it overcomes all language barriers without the need to relive the trauma and add to your stress.
TRE® includes a series of easy-to-do stretches using the muscles of the lower body to build up a slight shaking in the legs. Once the body is shaking, you lie on the floor, encouraging the natural vibrations to move through the body, without trying to control them. Most people enjoy the sensation of shaking; for some, they report a physical or emotional release, without becoming overwhelmed by the process.

Yoga With Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) Workshop - Devon
Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) are a simple series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases tension and calms the nervous system. Activated in a safe controlled way the body is encouraged back to a state of balance.
Benefits include reduced worry/anxiety, improved sleep, less conflict, and reduced symptoms of PTSD.
TRE is designed as a self-help tool.
